What to Expect on Sundays...
Here at CUMC, we worship God through a blend of both traditional practices and contemporary worship styles- this means we sing praises to God with both the organ and with a praise band. Each service includes times of prayer as well as instruction from Scripture.
Because we belong to a long and beautiful tradition of worship, we incorporate many different practices into our services of worship, including: hymns, praise songs, special music, drama, dance, video, liturgical readings, as well as the sacraments of Baptism and Communion.
Communion, or the Lord's Supper, or Eucharist, is observed typically on the first Sunday of each month. Our Communion table is open to all who desire to take of the bread and the cup and experience God's grace. The Nursery is available for you and your children ages birth through 2nd grade. The message can be heard from the Nursery and the Nursery can be seen from the Worship Center.
PrayGround - Our church also has a PrayGround, this is where your child can sit at a table that has quiet toys and coloring books. There are chairs for you to sit next to them. Closed during COVID-19.
Busy Bags - We provide busy bags supplied with coloring books and small toys. These can be used anywhere in the worship center. There are also clipboards with pencils to be used by any age.
Everyone is welcome- old and young, poor and rich, sinner and saint, jeans and suits. This is a place where everyone can come and find that love. God calls us to come as we are... so come as you are. Whether you're comfortable in jeans and a t-shirt, or a suit and tie- there's a place for you here. We all need God's love. Come worship God with us!
