This week, at South By South West 2013 (an annual music, film, and interactive conference in Austin, TX), a new social media app was unveiled. Its title? “Hater.” Its purpose? To be a networking platform where people can “share their grievances rather than post about all their favorite things.”
Basically, this is a new way for people to express, and rant about the things, or people, that they hate. But why? Why do we need an entire app for people to talk about things they hate? Don’t people already do that already on Facebook and Twitter?
