Legacy Planning Sessions
Legacy Planning Seminar
No one likes thinking about losing a loved one, or even their own death. But it is one of the things we don’t have much choice about- we will all die. We do, however, get to choose how we will live, and what we will do with that life. What will you leave behind for your loved ones when you pass?
The Legacy Planning Seminar seeks to start the conversation about living well, while reducing the stigma of death. The purpose of this event is to provide people of all ages with the resources and steps for living well now while preparing for later, with the goal of relieving the burden on loved ones after our death.
There are two events planned for this Fall: Tuesday, October 24, at 10am, and Thursday, October 26, at 6:30pm, at the Coopersville Methodist Church (105 N 68th Ave, Coopersville). This event will present information and resources about a number of topics, such as personal information access, financial planning, estate planning, assisted living and nursing care, funeral planning, as well as tips for how to have these necessary conversations with loved ones.
Registration is encouraged for this event @ CoopersvilleUMC.org/legacy-planning. And note that this event is open and encouraged for people of all ages, not just those nearing the end of life. Legacy planning provides peace of mind, knowing that your wishes will be carried out as you intend, and helps ensure your loved ones have access to the information they will need, and have a clear roadmap for the future.
The Legacy Planning Seminar is hosted by the Coopersville United Methodist Church, Marne United Methodist Church, Throop Funeral Home, Fountain View Assisted Living, and Mission Point of Lamont. You can find more information by contacting CUMC at 616.997.9225, or online at CoopersvilleUMC.org/legacy-planning.
Don't miss out on this valuable event that can empower you to shape your legacy for generations to come. Together, we can build a stronger and more connected community through thoughtful planning and purposeful action.
